Carmagen Engineering, Inc. develops and presents training courses, workshops, and seminars that are tailored to the specific needs of our clients. All of our training activities have the same purpose - to enable your personnel to do their jobs better. We meet that goal with structured, focused courses presented by experienced professionals.

In most cases, we present our courses at client locations and have done this worldwide. We also present a small number of “public” courses, and can also host client personnel in our New Jersey office for focused training.

Industry Needs

All portions of the process industry have undergone tremendous change in recent years. The departure of experienced personnel combined with an influx of new engineers and continued work demands increases a company's training needs. However, companies often do not have the time to develop and present training courses.

Our Approach

We can present the readily available courses listed in our catalogs, adapt these courses to suit client-specific needs, or develop entirely new courses. When undertaking a new training assignment, if the client has not already done one, we first perform a needs analysis to identify the target audience, then develop a mutually agreed upon outline to tailor the course to cover only the necessary topics. Since our engineering services to the process industry involve much more than just training, our courses are developed and presented by engineers who are both active in the industry and have the training experience necessary to present effective courses.

Course Formats

Carmagen Engineering, Inc. conducts technical training in two formats:

• Full-Length Courses, which depending on the topic, can vary from 1 to 5 days in length.
• Shorter Courses, which comprise our Carmagen a la Carte© program.

These are features of our Full-Length Courses:

• Topics in professional practice related to engineering design, operation and maintenance of facilities, and project management
• Courses given at client location or elsewhere, depending on participation, logistics, etc.
• Course length depends on complexity of subject material and degree of detail desired by the client
• Comprehensive course manual provided to each participant for classroom use and future reference

These are features of our Carmagen a la Carte© program:

• Topics that help professionals keep up with the fast-moving energy industry - to be current with new ideas and new standards
• Alternative location arrangements:
• Training can be conducted at client location or other off-site facility.
• Many courses are one-half day length, and can be tailored to fit into an extended lunchtime or for presentation on successive days
• Back-to-back courses can be arranged within a given day
• Fee is on a per-course basis, rather than per-person. Large class size is encouraged, consistent with the available training space
• A useful mini-manual is provided to each participant
• Instructors are available by telephone for follow-up questions and discussion during a limited period after each course presentation
