Course Objective

The course is designed to introduce equipment-oriented engineers and technicians to the basic principles and applications of welding engineering. The course contains a lot of practical experience.

The course is intended for equipment-oriented engineers and technicians who desire to learn the basic principles and applications of welding engineering. It is applicable both for new construction, and repairs of existing facilities. Anyone involved in welding, from engineering design to performing welding and inspection, will find this course loaded with useful information.

Course Description

The course will cover the following topics:

Each session will be conducted in a lecture/discussion format designed to provide intensive instruction and guidance. The instructor will be available following each day’s session to provide participants with further opportunity for discussion and consideration of specific problems. Attendees will be provided with a course workbook, which covers the items discussed in the course and will also be provided with a back-up reference book in the form of a Welding Procedure Handbook.

Participants will be given a copy of the book, “Procedure Handbook of Arc Welding.”
